Photofacials are also referred to as “photorejuvenation” and it’s used for the following purposes:
- Lightening, diminishing, even removing age spots, sun spots, improving skin, and additional brown blotches on the face, neck, chest, hands, and other areas of the body.
- Reducing skin redness, inflammation, rosacea, dilated or broken blood vessels on the face, neck, and chest area.
- Inflammation and flushing control.
- Improves overall skin texture through inspiring new collagen stimulation. Reduces pore size by removing clogging, damaging oils.
Women MedCare is happy to offer Cutera XEO IPL (intense pulsed light) photofacial treatments to our male and female patients who would like to experience clearer, more radiant skin without resorting to harmful, invasive treatments.
How Non-Surgical Photofacial Treatments Work
IPL photorejuvenation treatments utilize high energy light waves which reduce or eliminate many common effects of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, and skin discoloration. IPL treatments also encourage collagen production. Collagen is a natural protein that eliminates wrinkles, making the skin smooth and supple. With each photofacial treatment, the results become more pronounced. Most of our patients experience optimal results in about 5 full-face IPL sessions which are spaced 3 weeks apart.
